I homeschooled my Daughter and my sons had supplemental instruction... They have all excelled and still do. Sometimes a single mother/parent has to do what a single mother has to do.. :-) We don't have the luxury of paying out 3/4's of our paychecks to a private school. I assure you, my children are the most precious things on this planet.

I'll have to disagree with you about public school. Oh, they're atrocious and full of Marxist, lefty ideals, but some parents can't stay home to be with their children nor do they have the money for private school. They have to work with what they have. Faith, hope and love (and a lot of hard work) to be able to overcome the indoctrination. If you put in the time, the reward will be phenomenal.

When I homeschooled my daughter, she was often three to five years ahead of her classmates in science, math, literature and social studies. We even threw in French and piano-music theory, as those are both things that I know. Phys-ed was a walk in the park-literally- on some local nature trails every day.
