The siege around Iran is dangerously narrowing as Israel-Britain-US decide on a military response in Tehran.

This is the first time that all three countries have spoken of a "military response" to Iran, which dramatically increases the chances of a strike in the coming days.

Britain is working with the United States and Israel to determine the answer and is "considering a range of options," British government sources told The Sun.

Israel's ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdogan, has sent a letter to the Security Council calling for an immediate end to the naval incidents and for condemning Iran for its drone strike on the Mercer Street tanker.

The situation will worsen further based on the new information about the release of the Iranian Guards on the second ship "Asphalt Princess" and the mine attacks against the other tankers.

"Israel is ready to attack Iran," said Defense Minister Benny Gantz, noting that "we must take military action."

"There must be a global response to Iran and the threat posed by the Islamic Republic.

We are at a point where we need to take military action against Iran. "People need to take action now," said Israeli Foreign Minister Ynet and Israeli journalist Attila Somfalvi.

For his part, Israeli Prime Minister N. Bennett stressed that "Iranians can not sit quietly in Tehran while setting fire to the entire Middle East. This is over".

"We are working to inform the whole world, but when the time comes, we know how to act alone," he said. "Iran knows the price it will pay when someone threatens our security."

"Iran made a big mistake and responded to the Israeli invasion of Syria by hitting an innocent ship," said the Israeli Admiral. Eliezer Marom, former Commander of the Israeli Navy. The Israeli Admiral, however, disagreed with the prospect of an attack, saying:

"There should be no military response but the Iranians cannot continue these terrorist attacks"

"Britain must respond militarily to Iran for the deadly attack on the Mercer," said British Army Chief of Staff General Sir Nick Carter.

The deterrent must be restored to avoid attacks that could lead to "escalation" and "miscalculation".

General Sir Nick Carter told the BBC:
"What we need to do is hold Iran accountable for its reckless behavior.

"They made a big mistake with the attack on the Mercer Street boat last week, because the situation in the Gulf has become very international."

In the same vein, British Foreign Secretary D. Raab called on Iran to pay for its actions, saying " the Security Council must respond to Iran's destabilizing actions and its lack of respect for international law."

The British Prime Minister M. Johnson stated that Iran "must face the consequences of its actions".

"The time for Diplomacy is over"
Asked "how should Britain respond to Iran", a retired British officer and former Commander of British forces in Afghanistan, Richard Kemp, answered Israeli media saying:

"The time has come for a diplomatic response. Iran can only be confronted with some form of military force in the Gulf by British and American forces."
"Either there is an obvious military response to Iran, or a covert military response under the radar."
