Dave Rubin of The Rubin Report talks to Ben Shapiro of The Daily Wire about his new book “The Authoritarian Moment”, which COVID experts he trusts, signs that we now live in an illiberal democracy, and why higher education has become and overpriced luxury credentialing system.

In this clip Ben talks about how Joe Biden’s Build Back Better is just another example of disaster socialism that Democrats have used throughout history to never let a crisis go to waste. The New Deal under FDR to fight the Great Depression and Lyndon B. Johnson’s War on Poverty are key examples. That they always fail doesn’t seem to matter to Democrats.

Ben speculates if Joe Biden is experiencing cognitive decline and why the Democrats don’t want to be stuck with Kamala Harris.

Ben also answers the question “is college worth it”? He explains how the benefits of college have declined significantly since students emerge with less critical thinking abilities and mounds of student debt. Higher education has become mostly a training ground for the ruling class. Students learn few usable skills and spend the rest of their lives paying off student loan debt. He thinks more employers will eventually see through the college scam and find alternative ways to find qualified employees.
