After watching a few minutes of this guy's speech, I was not a fan of the father. But I went ahead and left a comment on the youtube site anyway, here it is:
Look at it this way: If you want your child to be miserable and think of suicide, then put your career and money first. And by all means don't teach him to be kind to animals and people. Don't teach a child to help others because he might find a purpose in life and feel good about having empathy for others. And don't spend time in the country close to nature and learn to appreciate hard work. The discouragement and destruction of a child starts by putting material things first and human lives last. The perfect, well balanced child is not born, they are cultivated, loved, and taught the goodness (and value) of treating others with kindness. (end quote)
