And yes, they are fools. They are doing exactly what the big boys above the clouds would have them do.
Gold and silver were allowed freely in hand so that the Earth could be brought to a state of technological and spiritual achievement that would benefit the off world corporations and privateers who wish to own this planet.
That plateau has been reached. There is now no need to continue private or national possession at any level. "Precious" metals will be removed from private hands at all levels.
When the Reddit monkeys do enough damage to the markets "precious" metals will be blamed and demand for regulation will be made especially at the consumer level where the worldwide population will suffer from this fool's game.
"Precious" metals will not be confiscated, but they will be required to be registered with and regulated by the Maritime Banking corporations that presently control this planet. These "precious" metals will then back a one world fiat currency. And yes it will be fiat by virtue of arbitrary valuation and not free market valuation or valuation under law.
Essentially the merchants of the Earth will be required to cast their "precious" metals into the sea.
The sane way to make changes to the system is to let the system finish gutting itself instead of bringing it down on everyone's heads. At least food, clothing and shelter have some chance of surviving.
Then you make a valid constitutional amendment in the spirit of the following.
You need an old tire. You can find one for free.
All tires have a manufacturer, a unique serial number and a date of manufacture stamped on the side wall. That makes each tire one of a kind on the whole Earth.
You also need a big glass room, about a hundred feet square, maybe more. You will need the space.
Set the tire up on edge on a revolving table so it goes round slowly. Set it near a wall, so people can see it clearly and take selfies with it.
Fill the room with dry nitrogen to preserve rubber and organic matter. We'll get to that in a minute.
Figure out how many legitimate citizens of all ages are actually domiciled in physical US boundaries, not including territories. Anchor babies do not count.
Make the Treasury set up and print Certificates of Value (Tcash) against the tire.
Redeem all in border fiat, including credit at a fixed rate of exchange for Tcash. Do this for all individuals and all businesses.
Require all banks to use Tcash for all in border transactions.
The free market can take it from there.
You need a few rules, but not many.
Treasury required to print and issue into circulation X amount of Tcash for every new child born to a legitimate US citizen.
Tcash valid only in US boundaries. Export unlawful.
Tcash lawful for all transactions in US boundaries.
Anyone actively attempting to subvert principles of Old Tire be cheaply executed, stuffed like an animal and displayed permanently in the large glass room with the tire.
Perps outside the US boundaries are easily handled by a bounty paid on presentation of the head. Heads to be stuffed and stacked totem pole style on a tall metal rod in the tire room. Plenty of independent contractors available if the bounty is right.
With these basic ideas implemented the stupid idea that “precious” metals have some sort of intrinsic value would be realized insane. The world could follow, or not, whatever it wishes to do.
This is of course a one page nutshell. But still it shouldn't take more than a small sapling worth of pages to record necessary detail if handled by a committee of people who are actually intelligent, unless “government” gets involved. Then it would take a forest.
This would require a constitutional amendment, but with about fifty percent of the nation stark, raving insane, I would not dare suggest that for now. It would be better to wait until Savior Trump has risen from the dead and then make overwhelming national demand that the Servant savior act.
