: (hobie here.) I do understand the dilemma; it's a quandary for
: us, too. There's so much information at this point, on so
: many topics of genuine interest, that the result is that
: we're laying out a smörgåsbord of information and
: necessarily leaving it up to our Readers to select ones
: that seem most likely to serve them best.

: It's not that we're investigating a certain topic and choosing
: to go with a video. Rather, we come upon the video and feel
: that it will be of interest to our Readers. It's stumbling
: upon the video that initiates what the post will be like.
: If WE had more time, or if the initiating interest was in a
: certain topic, we might go searching for "best
: information" on that topic in whatever form it might
: take - text, video, audio, graphic. But that's not the
: 'flow' of things at this time. We're all adrift in a sea of
: information.

: As you're saying, almost no one has time enough to devote so
: many hours a day to viewing lots of videos. The result is
: that we may or may not have viewed the entire video
: ourselves. The best we can do is be selective in what we're
: posting, and whenever available, including any descriptive
: text the uploader has provided.

: This is why I include the run-time and author or uploader's
: name in the Subject line - to help folks decide if they
: want to devote that much time to the topic or author, at
: the time they come upon the post.
