It was suggested that the first oath, administered by Justice Thomas, was ceremonial. The second oath was to be administered by Chief Justice Roberts and was supposedly "the real one". It's possible the two used identical wording - but it would be good to know. :)

I was watching the live feed of the swearing-in of Amy Barrett, and when her taking the oath was finished, the Fox announcer said that Amy will take another oath, "in private" at the Supreme Court the next day.

My question is can we get a copy via FOIA to see what that specific oath requires her to do? Can one of the great RM reporters/researchers get a copy of it and publish it to the readers so we all can see what is says. We have a Right to know.

For all we know it could be a secret oath cancelling out the public oath she had just taken. And if this is a common course of action for every judge, I never knew about it.
