First, let me say, I truly hope you are well. These are extremely difficult times, and I want you to know that I believe it takes a special form of courage to open yourself to information that challenges the dominant global narrative that COVID-19 is so vastly dangerous and deadly that we all must shelter in our homes, indefinitely. A narrative claiming that in order to save ourselves and others, the potentially permanent loss of millions of livelihoods and our civil liberties are not only worth it, but should be enforced through peer and media shaming, and failing that, the police powers of the state and the federal government.
One of these beliefs is that social distancing is without question the best, most effective, and safest way to "flatten the curve." In fact, this belief is what has justified the closing down or interfering with most social and economic activity on the planet, at present. Today's article challenges that assumption, based on a significant body of research, spanning decades, showing the economic impacts aside, social isolation (the unintended, adverse consequence of social distancing) increases all-cause mortality, and may be as unhealthy for the human body as smoking cigarettes, and worse than having high blood pressure. Social isolation via quarantining individuals can increase their risk of infection from viruses, according to a JAMA trial featured at the end of today's lead article: 13 Studies Reveal How Social Distancing (i.e. Social Isolation) Can Increase Mortality
Given that our collectively held medical beliefs today will profoundly affect the future course of society and civilization, globally, I believe our mission, to empower you with evidence supporting informed consent and health around medical matters, has probably never been more relevant.
This is why I don't take questioning the dominant COVID-19 narrative lightly. Nor will I back down from this important task, at a moment when most authors with a newly released book would be focused on promoting it and not highly controversial and polarizing topics.
After publishing David Crowe's highly viewed article on March 14th, the day before the national lockdowns started and which asks the question Does COVID-19 Exist?, we saw quite a bit of push back among readers who felt it was irresponsible to question these things in times of national emergency. Yet, even more of our readers expressed appreciation. For so many out there, something about the hysteria and panic (not to mention the full suspension of our civil liberties) was not adding up, and our work helped to make things clearer for them.
Could COVID-19 be like the emperor who wears no clothes? Dr. Wodarg's testimony is also compelling if you wish to know the answer. Since then, we've published several additional articles questioning whether what we are calling "COVID-19" here in the US is actually even related to the strain said to have emerged in Wuhan, China, with our latest to be viewed here.
But even for those who are convinced that COVID-19 is a real, exceptionally deadly pandemic virus, the reality is that the US government's own health statistics agency in charge of the classification process for COVID-19 deaths was just discovered directing hospitals to pronounce those only suspected or assumed to have been infected to be officially declared on death certificates to have died from COVID-19. The government document also states they have no intention of confirming these deaths as being caused by COVID-19 in the future. What does that mean? The death statistics and so-called confirmed cases are not based on evidence. And this has been apparent since the beginning, given the case fatality statistics have been greatly over-inflated, by a factor of 10x or higher, including by Dr. Fauci himself as proven by his own editorial in NEJM.
There is so much more I want to communicate. But what I have learned, recently, is that most of us are already overwhelmed with data. We're all watching this crisis unfold at a rapid rate, and what we want more than ever is for someone we trust to tell us everything is going to be OK. I believe that someone can only YOURSELF. And the path towards this inner reservoir of strength and peace is following Walt Whitman's advice when he said: "Re-examine everything you've been told ... and reject whatever insults your soul." I believe in your innate ability, as I do mine, to access the truth, and hope that our work in some way contributes to you realizing that goal. It's an inside job, ultimately.
