An Acquittal of President Donald J. Trump in his impeachment case gives some credibility to the Democrats continuum of made-up frauds against the president. If he is acquitted they will then spin the 'he is impeached for ever' line continuously.

They must not be given that much credit for what are transparently 'Trumped Up charges'. (Or more correctly perhaps, 'Up-Trump charges?')

The correct verdict is 'There is no case to answer'.

It will stop the spin. It may even give grounds for legal action aginst the plotters for sedition.

The Merriam-Webster definition of sedition is:
"Incitement of resistance to or insurrection against lawful authority."

Another definition says: "Conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch".

...which is exactly what the dems have been doing ever since Trump was elected. And every claim or accusation has demonstrably been made up: false, false, false!

Sedition may still be an indictable offence (though the key act was allowed to expire long ago), and it is potentially very serious if proven. It has not been used for a long time, so time to dust it off...

The challenge now is to avoid spurious impeachment cases become the norm in the future. A successful counter claim involving court action for sedition would stop this potentially disasterous trend...DEAD
