I am not part of the crowd that thinks Trump made a mistake pulling out troops from Northern Syria. I believe it is an excellent start in extricating ourselves from foreign military entanglements. But, I am worried about the content of that letter, if it is genuine. It was so poorly written - not just the grammar, but the tone of the letter was so off base - that it was cartoonish, as if we woke up in Gotham City and were seeing letters from the Joker to city hall.

"Make a good deal" What?
"You will look like the devil" What?
Then he ends it by saying "Don't be a fool!"

Question: Is he trying to insult Turkey and start World War Three? Not even in WW2 did world leaders talk to Adolf Hitler in such a tone, and it would have been justified. Trump talked down to the Turkey leader as if he was a child. Trump also used terms that were reminiscent of Trump's book "The Art of the Deal", as if he considers himself the all time greatest deal maker in history. However, we aren't dealing with New York high rises, this is real global politics and serious foreign policies. The tone and content of Trump's letter revealed a strange set of materialistic and envious attitudes and values that he expected the Turkish leader to agree on and follow.

Is there anyone in the Whitehouse that can edit Trump's letters for proper diplomacy and content? Seriously, how could that letter have been sent as an official letter to a foreign leader? Even mafia godfathers have educated attorneys that can frame letters and talk intelligently. Trump is his own worst enemy, anyone that can't see this is truly brain dead. This is without a doubt an American embarrassment and diplomacy disaster of epic proportions.

I like the policy reversals Trump has made in the middle east- he is starting to fulfill his campaign promises and has reversed course against the neo-cons and the military industrial complex. But, as a person looks closer into Trump's everyday actions, comments and letters, he is appearing irrational, un-presidential and amateurish. Trump himself is a loose cannon on deck of the USS Whitehouse, and if his own shipmates don't get control of him soon his juvenile antics will end up sinking the ship.
