In December 2015, I was told that the Red Destroyer can now be seen with the naked eye. In the summer of 2016, I was asked if I wish to see it myself. I said OK and was sent 2 urls of webcams in France and Italy (or was it Spain?) that looked out on to the Mediterranean. I saw an object appear briefly for about an hour (5 pm to 6 pm). It simply appeared in the position of 4 o'clock to the sun and then vanished. Now, it's much bigger though I have not sighted it myself since 2016. I'm just going by what other people are reporting.

If you are British, you had a good chance of seeing it during Hurricane Ophelia in October 2017. The Sun (oh how they love to tease us) newspaper posted photos of our second sun, along with a scene from Star War's Tatooine. However the sightings were dismissed as an optical illusion. Really, what the heck is going on in 2019?!
