Attended University in the 70s at a college in the Rockies that shall not be named. Made friends with a black running back from Alabama who was a football star b4 knee surgery of the primitive kind on both knees.[Both U knee docs were coke heads doing all the knees they could.] The athlete told me that standard procedure was for an athlete to come in the fall being of good academic standing-then academic probation in the spring for bad grades. Then they would "attend" jr college in CA in the summer in absentia-they were never there but their records showed they were. Next fall good academic standing-spring probation-jr college in absentia all 4 years. I happened to be doing work study in the records office that summer. The records were still largely on paper then and I checked. Sure enough-all true...as my Granny used to say "seen it with my own eyes." Needless to say things went much further south in to complete degenerate corruption since. Nice day to all and keep the faith.
