So Gavin Newsom our new Governor wants to spend $100 million to send border troops to stop illegal weed grows...
what makes it illegal is the State not getting a huge $40k cut of the growers pocket before they even grow anything. Even now most that paid 2 years ago are still waiting for a license.

Most growers never made that kind of money and don't have it now so they never could buy their way into legalization not to mention the rules & regs that still keep changing as they did yesterday.( Now the state will cut one tax to $9.00 an ounce under duress!) There are many more taxes on it than that. Plus all building must meet code ( they rarely do)There was no code in the hills. Put meters on your well water ...you see where this goes don't you.

Funny thing though the smaller illegal growers took good care of the town. They supported local stores, sport teams, Community center and not least paid medical expenses when a local was injured in car crashes or diagnosed with cancers et al.

Now that MMJ is legal the town is hurting.

The huge growers of years gone by of course had the money to buy in.

So, now we see jobs for gun confiscation. Owning guns & MMJ or even having a medical recommendation for MMJ at the same time is illegal in Ca..

Folks in the Northern 1/3 of Ca. the Emerald Triangle are used to having choppers overhead at the treeline, it rattles your home and frightens your animals. They do it here every August and September until it starts to rain as rain ruins the crops.

Actually they flew my house today but I think it was PG&E our electrical company today checking their lines to see if the snow over the last to weeks broke branches that touch the lines. The choppers practically give you a haircut! I digress...

One agency is called Camp...in days gone by their was a person in town who scanned the agency and would call a few folks and sing camp town races do dah do dah when they were headed this way.

During the fires over the last 5 years the choppers are griding and taking photos of as much property as they can. Google doesn't drive there electric cars out here, they buy the info.

So my up shot to all this is these boys out here been hiding their MMJ & their guns for quite a while now.

What I don't like is all the new satellite and other surveillance
$100 million plus buys.
