Figures from the California Justice Department show that gun confiscations are surging under the state’s red flag law.
The San Francisco Chronicle reports there were 86 gun confiscation orders issued in California in 2016 and 104 in 2017. There were 424 orders issued in 2018.
The surge is largely due to approaches adopted by counties like San Diego, where the state-level adoption of a red flag law opened the door to county and municipal confiscatory plans.
San Diego City Attorney Mara Elliott said, “There’s a great deal of relief that there’s this tool to prevent gun violence in our community.” Elliot indicated officers in San Diego County have made the pursuit of confiscation orders part of their “regular policing.” She said the strategy, once implemented, “took off like wildfire.”
San Diego County adopted their policy in December 2017 and witnessed the issuance of 185 confiscation orders in the county alone since then.
On September 29, 2018, Reuters reported that Gov. Brown signed changes to the state’s red flag law, making it easier for family members and police to secure confiscation orders against individuals. Breitbart News reported that California’s red flag law was expanded on January 1, 2019, to cover firearm accessories and ammunition.
"WTF is Going on in Downtown LA?": Army War Drills Continue Across Los Angeles
Published: February 9, 2019
Having started on Monday, the US Army continues its war drills across the greater Los Angeles metropolitan area through Saturday with the goal of enhancing Army Special Forces skills by "operating in urban environments", Army Special Operations Command said in a statement.
Residents around Los Angeles may hear sounds associated with the field training exercise, including helicopters and weapon simulations, according to the statement.
“The local terrain and training facilities in Los Angeles provide the Army with unique locations and simulates urban environments the service members may encounter when deployed overseas,” the Army told CBS.
Downtown Los Angeles residents were shocked Monday night when a fleet of Boeing A/MH-6M Little Bird and Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters swooped in around them.

A commercial parking lot across the street from the Regal Cinemas L.A. LIVE 14, at 1000 W Olympic Blvd, was the epicenter of some intense war simulations Tuesday night.

There were other field training exercises that were on the perimeter of the city, away from populated areas and toward the San Pedro Bay port Tuesday night and into early Wednesday morning.
The Army leased space in an industrially zoned area around the Port of Los Angeles near Terminal Island for field training exercises Wednesday night, according to Phillip Sanfield, a spokesman for the L.A. port. Port operations at Long Beach, the second largest port in the US, were not affected, port spokesman Lee Peterson told the Los Angeles Times.
Sanfield said residents living on houseboats in marinas around Wilmington were notified they might hear helicopters, explosions, and simulated assault rifle fire.
“There is no replacement for realistic training. Each location selected enables special operations teams and flight crews to maintain maximum readiness and proficiency, validate equipment and exercise standard safety procedures. The training is essential to ensure service members are fully trained and prepared to defend our nation overseas.”
The Army Special Operations Command conducts multiple urban field training exercises around the country, said Lt. Col. Loren Bymer, a spokesman for the command group.
“It wouldn’t be unheard of to train in Boston or Miami,” he said.
“It takes a lot of planning and coordination to do this safely.”
This is not the first time residents of a major metropolitan area across the US have experienced a military exercise. For instance, in 2015, Texas residents prepared for Jade Helm 15, an army training exercise which took place in multiple states.
As to what exactly the Army was preparing for by simulating war drills on the streets of Los Angeles was beyond our comprehension. One thing that is obvious: the Army is preparing for more conflict, whether with a foreign adversary or, more troubling, social unrest on the streets of America?

As The LA Times reports, a series of loud booms that rocked downtown LA on Monday night startled some people, but LAPD said there was no need to be concerned, as the noises were part of a U.S. Army training exercise involving aircraft and weapon simulations in urban settings. The training is set to run through Saturday in Los Angeles and Long Beach.
Globalist Merkel calls for end of nation states… the New World Order agenda is now out in the open
02/09/2019 / By JD Heyes
Elites in Europe have been angling for an EU superstate for decades, but have yet to pull it off. And based on recent developments, it may never happen now.
When the European Union formed, it represented major progress towards the globalist goal of creating an EU superstate where individual countries would be absorbed, de-cultured, and made subservient to a continental governing body.
Things appeared to be going along swimmingly until just a few years ago when a singular event began to stir suppressed feelings of “nationalism” (as in patriotism) among the citizenry of individual European nations: Mass immigration from mostly-Muslim countries.
The Utopian version of this policy change ends with everyone living happily ever after. But in reality, Islam does not abide by Western Christian values, and so it didn’t take long before the clash of cultures was in full swing.
At that point, the European continent began to convulse. It began slowly but then built into a crescendo that now threatens to undo generations’ worth of continental integration and the overarching objective of destroying European nation-states in favor of a new globalist construct.
Fed up with open borders and the crime, terrorism, and cultural clashes, a growing number of Europeans are beginning to assert Trump-style nationalism, pushing back against the EU elite and their quest for the superstate.
That, in turn, has led the EU elite to become much more open and forceful about their globalist agenda, as evidenced by recent comments from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“Nation states must today be prepared to give up their sovereignty,” she told an audience in Berlin, as this German publication noted.
Merkel added that leaders in individual European countries should not be listening to their own people when it comes to discussions about mass migration, open borders, and, yes, even sovereignty. (Related: WAKE UP: The real globalist plan isn’t merely to overthrow America, but to overthrow Earth.)
This won’t end well
Nowhere is the fight between the Euro elite and ordinary continental citizens more pronounced than in Great Britain, where Englanders voted to leave the EU in June 2016. Ever since then the globalist European elite has been trying to find a way to not simply forestall the “Brexit” but reverse the people’s will altogether.
Elsewhere around the continent, a new patriotism among EU member states is resurgent, though the sentiment is not called that. It’s usually labeled “right-wing extremism” or “hard-right nationalism,” when all it really amounts to is a desire among a growing number of citizens in countries throughout Europe who want to keep their unique culture and identities — not launch World War III.
But rising sentiment against full continental integration did not occur in a vacuum, they were driven by actual events.
In Merkel’s Germany, for instance, a rise in violent crime has been directly attributed to a rise in the number of young, mostly male, migrants from Muslim countries.
In once-peaceful Sweden, which has also taken in scores of migrants, shootings have become so common they don’t even make national news headlines anymore. Like Germany, this rise in crime has also been linked to the rise in migrants.
Sexual assaults, rapes, and similar crimes caused by migrants are rising in Sweden, neighboring Finland, and even the EU capital country of Belgium, the latter of which has the third highest Muslim population in Europe and the third highest sexual violence rate.
But this new European reality is falling on the deaf elitist ears. As Merkel decries the nation-state, France’s President Emmanuel Macron hammers Trump-inspired “nationalism” in the U.S. and beyond.
“Europe” — not European nations — “must be stronger…and win more sovereignty,” Macron has claimed. EU members must give up their national overweight to Brussels as it pertains to “foreign affairs, migration, and development,” as well as “an increasing part of our budgets and even fiscal resources.”
The globalist’s drive for a Euro-superstate is in full swing. There’s just one problem though: Europeans are rebelling.
