Nova Scotia’s top doctor takes heat over retweet dismissing chronic Lyme

HALIFAX, N.S. – A recent retweet by the province’s top doctor dismissing chronic Lyme disease as a condition based on pseudoscience and supported by a chronic Lyme cult, is being met with sharp criticism by one of Canada’s top tick experts.

“There are a lot of people who are sick and belittling them publicly is trivializing their illness and their suffering, so it’s deeply unfortunate given all of the science work and medical work that needs to be done around Lyme disease,” said Vett Lloyd, a biology professor at Mount Allison University.

People are going to start attacking doctors and legislatures out of sheer desperation. When the political agenda is set against those with Lyme and those doctors that want to heal the result will be that the a$$holes like this that keep it going are going to cause things to get out of hand. God Bless the states that see the truth of the need for long term antibiotics for those of us that have battled, some for decades.

Those who've had it a long time may not be the attackers; most likely will be newbies and those with brain swelling whom feel they have nothing left to loose and can see the writing on the wall. This is a warning to those who have kept pushing this underground for the last 30 plus years. Folks have had enough destruction they want to rebuild their world and lives.

To the states that are smart enough to have allowed the doctors to be doctors; God Bless them.
