A thought or two on financially supporting Rumor Mill News:

We go to K-Mart or Target or any other store, and we see all kinds of stuff we might need or want or at least is interesting to know about. We pick up a few things, or a great many things, perhaps even including one or two things we didn't even know about until we spotted them there, and head to the checkout counter. The kindly cashier, on his or her feet all day and sometimes having to deal with an irascible customer or two, nevertheless smiles and does his or her best to be cordial and friendly while ringing up the sale. We pay and head on home with our 'treasures', till next time.

At Rumor Mill News we can find stuff one would expect to be here, plus sometimes stuff one was never aware of before. New 'merchandise' is added daily, often hourly, day and night. K-Mart doesn't tell us what to buy. RMN doesn't tell us what to think - just what we (the RMN Agents) and much of the rest of Internet happens to be thinking. And we do carry stuff we found here with us, as we return home. :)

The difference is, at K-Mart, each item has a specified price, and if one moves to leave the store without paying, one is likely to be stopped and might even end up being incarcerated.

We understand that system and don't mind working within it. We expect to give value for value received. Indeed, we may even realize that there's a human nature tendency not to value a thing we haven't had to pay for.

At Rumor Mill News, the 'price' of the 'merchandise' isn't marked on each item. It's by design that everything at RMN is free to read, so that no one is turned away for lack of a few dollars. And at Rumor Mill News, no one will stop us as we 'leave the store' and carry home with us whatever we may have found here.
