TRUMP
As president, I cannot make decisions on foreign policy in a futile effort to appease partisan critics, or the media, or Democrats who want to do nothing but resist and obstruct. Constructive dialogue between the United States and Russia affords the opportunity to open new pathways toward peace and stability in our world. I would rather take a political risk in pursuit of peace than to risk peace in pursuit of politics.

PUTIN
It's quite clear to everyone that the bilateral relationship are going through a complicated stage and yet those impediments - the current tension, the tense atmosphere - essentially have no solid reason behind it. The Cold War is a thing of past. The era of acute ideological confrontation of the two countries is a thing of remote past, is a vestige of the past.

Vladimir Putin specifically used the term Sympathetic ('SYMPATHY'), which points back to ADAM SMITH,

PUTIN
President Trump, when he was a candidate, he mentioned the need to restore the Russia U.S. relationship and it's clear that a certain part of American society felt SYMPATHETIC about it and different people could express their SYMPATHY in different ways.

But isn't that natural? Isn't it natural to be SYMPATHETIC towards a person who is willing to restore the relationship with our country, who wants to work with us?

ME
Adam Smith uses the term Sympathy to show how an individual can identify with other individuals who act in the same way as him, as if he were in the other man's shoes. This relates to VIRTUE, a term no longer used in POLITICS. The Virtous Terms COURAGE, PRUDENCE, JUSTICE are still bandied though as central to Character in World-Leadership. But clashing Nations, people's and Religions are not resulting in Progress towards PEACE and CONTENTMENT. Today's Political attitude is akin to attacking a Cancer in the body in one place, only to have it spring up in another. The Political paradigm doesn't get to ROOT CAUSES of our problem.

A new Non-Republican World Model with direct Participation of us as SOVEREIGN-WORKER can easily be implemented that recognizes that INDIVIDUALS can play several roles to BENEFIT themselves in society and personally, without delegating to an artificial expert such as a JUDGE or MONARCH or EXECUTIVE.

The idea is to make Virtuous behavior NORMAL, without legislating the behavior itself or having to bestow Honors upon itself.

Adam Smith was a MORAL PHILOSOPHER. I'm not sure if the term MORAL is relevant anymore, as MORALS are relative and historic to belief systems that also includes KILLING Other Beings for MEAT, and CONQUEST of other Nations, and artificial CLASS DIFFERENCES which result in SCARCITY, all very UNVIRTUOUS

I see UNIVERSAL VIRTUES in Western Culture that most people identify with such as MARRIAGE, WEALTH as looking to conform to an outside formal standard, which may not stand the test WITHIN, as to how the Wealth was acquired, or what the Marriage is actually like. Corrupt Politicians cloak themselves in these VIRTUOUS institutions and call themselves GOOD.

Anyway, the material within is pretty abstract, and therefore, may have little relevance to a Reader seeking real Guidance on how to improve his Material and Emotional Happiness.
