Hoping things are well with you and yours
I'm in Canada -- small rural town Saskatchewan
we completely shut down -- this does not indicate
what is happening in other provinces or other rural areas
all can tell you is what is happening around me

which defines my reality
this town is approx. 400 people one grocery store and
fuel station -- both are closed to the public except
you can call the store for groceries and they will deliver them
and the gas station you can get gas only - nothing else
for how long -- not sure -- 14 days? and that started on monday
a bigger town approx. 3500 -- 1/2 hour away has shut down except
grocery store and pharmacy and gas station
two reasons -- one of the dentists in the bigger town was at a
dental convention in Vancouver first part of March and contracted
the virus -- worked for a week before knowing
and we have had several who go south for the winter returning
and they have been out and about after being told to self isolate
well self isolate was grocery shopping first etc.
so in Saskatchewan -- if you are returning from anywhere you
are to go home -- no shopping no nothing do not leave your house
for anything for 14 days -- except if you feel ill -- if ill you call
a certain number and medical people will handle it from there
There is not much open after 8:00 pm in the bigger cities.
and snippets of news indicate -- you might be questioned as
to why you are out
Every province and territory are handling what that province or
territory needs ..
Nova Scotia for instance has closed its borders to everyone
including other provinces --- same for Newfoundland Northwest territories
As far as I know the Federal Government has issued strict guidelines
to follow as in mandatory 14 day isolation for anyone coming into Canada
except truckers/trade

Most if not all provinces and territories have complied
Keeping in touch with family in other provinces - Alberta for instance
Calgary and area -- mom in her 80's is isolated from all but one family
member -- who brings her what she may need -- she is doing fine
She is a very active senior so we finally got her to agree to 14 days.
So yesterday my sister and I started to have a phone conversation with her
about after the 14 days and that for the elderly it may be more than 14 days
as the news cycle is suggesting
Having a Mom with a mind over matter our whole life
I'll give you an example
one day coming home for lunch I was crying coming in
she says what is the matter
I replied --- someone was calling me names
So she walked over and lightly pinched my arm, and said
"Oh for crying out loud -- get your feelings off your sleeve
otherwise people are going to be hurtin' more and more often"
So trying to tame that tiger will be interesting after 14 days

It will be interesting to see what Trudeau says at his briefing
today -- usually around noon eastern time
if other measures are coming and when
