Sorry, I was away and am just getting this put up.

I do agree with Oliver on some fronts.. That's why they get the kids in the military VERY young.. Too young to realize they are being lied to.. They're still just kids, raised on video games filled with glorious battles and internet heroes. If they asked adults to go fight for bankers, they'd say up yours.. I also agree with you.. The older ones know what they are fighting for and some of them are just born soldiers...

Not sure if this should be posted in reply to Oliver.

Here is how I see the whole issue of supporting our troops:

They know in their hearts what is right and what is wrong;

The UCMJ requires that any member of the military that is issued an immoral or unethical order to take the superior into custody to face courts martial.

When I start seeing that happen, I will support them.

Until that time, with a few exceptions, I will call it like I see it, they are cowards.

Many who were among the ranks of the US military now understand, and even call themselves cowards for what they have done in the past.

I served myself, wanted to be a helo pilot, but, thankfully, got out for medical reasons. Looking back I even call myself a coward for the choice I made there.
