Imagine how much fun it would be for us plebes to use the data to respond to all those sniff sites who refuse to let you read further unless you "register"? Or the spam e-mails who ask you to reply with your e-mail for more info?

Seems like a good way to force the bad guys to close there email accounts and get new ones thus interrupting their communications, if only temporarily.
