I am also a “flyer” but I used to fly with the birds, with bugs between my teeth and hopping over fences over the fields and servicing my own plane.

Some big birds were very funny when they were flying and I pulled up beside them at a short distance away. They looked like they were flying home from a hard day's work, frequently turning their heads towards me. VERY FUNNY! Almost like a cartoon. Couldn't do this to crows as they always dove away.

There is nothing to see, no enjoyment, no adrenaline rush above 500' height. You sure get an adrenaline rush when you are at fifty feet high and just flew over a mama bear with cubs as she is on her hind legs, scraping the air angrily, with her front paws, while looking at you. Or when you are at twenty feet high, flying over some wolf pups who were scrambling to get into their holes.
“Regular” planes are BORING, (especially commercial ones) their only purpose is to get people to a place in a hurry. Rush, rush, rush.

“Flying” gives the closest feeling to be FREE, but not when you are on a “scheduled flight”, in an enclosed, pressurized place while others are guiding you which direction to go, how high and how fast. There is no fun in that as that kind of flying is a “career”. Too rigid for me and I am not in favour of, when others are ordering me what to do or not to do. So, I am not a “green horn” when it comes to flying itself, on my own, in my own plane.
