What I've read, sources like Sorcha Faal (not as yet confirmable), is that many prisoners have given up large parts of their cash, and their cushy positions of power, and are now out of jail.

Only a couple of handfuls of people remain incarcerated. This money amounts to more than $100-billion US, and is much needed to support Saudi Arabian expenses in several directions, and for many reasons.

In the main, this is a good thing. And Saudi Arabia removed their troops from Yemen 3 days after Trump went home after his more important than we know, visit to that country. $400-billion in arms sales over 10 years, is better than Saudi Arabia buying Russian arms instead. The Saudis are gonna buy them from somebody. Might as well be the US, which makes them more tractable to new US agendas, and less tractable to old US ambitions.
