I agree with about 95% of what you've written below. Just because Jordan or Tsarion et al have stated it does not make it true.. :-) Many times I disagree with others interpretation of things but that is the nature of the human beast, eh??

As for Tel-a-vision, agreed that the etymology is as you stated. However, if you add in words like Hollywood ( The Holly Wood or sacred wood-wand) Glamour (to charm or hex with sex {sounds like every Television show!}) Cast (the actors in a show who cast a hypnotic spell in a 'Series' of 'program'(s)shows).. I could go on and on but it's a holi -day and fam il y is calling :-))

Many of Jordan Maxwell's etymological explanations are not grounded in a proper understanding of language. I'll give you some examples.

Words which end in the suffix "-ship", such as partnership, sponsorship, relationship, do not have anything to do with the vessels which sail on the sea. Here's a detailed breakdown of what this suffix actually means:

"Birth" and "berth" are not synonymous.

The etymology of the word "television" has nothing to do with telling lies, even though that is what the device is used for. The word comes from the Greek "tele" (far) and the Latin "visio" (vision). So it means literally "seeing from afar". Compare other words which have this Greek prefix, such as telegram, telegraph, telescope, telephone.

The word "define" comes from the Latin "definire", meaning "to limit, end". When one gives a definition of a word, one is demarcating the range of meanings which are ascribed to that word. Any suggestion that the word "definition" may have anything at all to do with Phoenicians whose hearing was somewhat impaired is quite wildly fanciful.

The subject of how language is used to deceive, especially in the legal system, is a very serious one, and I would suggest that Mr. Maxwell is not the person who is best qualified to deal with it. It's quite likely that other researchers have gone into this subject with more care and understanding.
