In A Word: Hurricane Harvey is coming ashore somewhere along the Texas/LA coast friday. It would not normally be such a big deal especially to longtime coastal residents, EXCEPT...It is expected to stall just offshore for a day or two which will positively innundate the area with up to 20-30 inches of rain. Supplies are expected to run out soon now.

Still not a really big deal for longtime residents in that they have known to be prepared for years, so they probably are.

The really big deal for the rest of us is that it is presently forcasted to probably center on Houston. Why is that worth mentioning? Well it is the fourth largest city in the US with 2 million+ folks , AND it's refineries are the MAJOR oil supplier for nearly half the country, and ALL of the US east coast.

In a Word, no matter where you are located in the US, there will probably be fuel shortages for quite a while. Diesel delivers your grub to the grocery stores, so even if you have gas for your car there may be no food at the grocery.

Now, about all those people in Houston.... The newbies, libs and welfare bums will be especially hard up. Just think about Katrina and New Orleans. This time, NO ONE IS EVEN GOING TO TRY TO GET THEIR GUNS, and good 'ol Texas has LOTS of them.

The PTB perhaps engineered this TS and guided it exactly to where it will do the most damage to the nation.

Think about it. And prepare for the possible event. No, I don't mean the hurricane.
