Molyneaux issued a video on Evil, a day ahead of my post (in anticipation of it) It is very thoughtful.

Comments

1. The Trump in the Park beheadings and CNN logo knockout of Trump are not what I call 'evil'.The subject is not harmed. I take these outbursts as a person's natural emotional overflow valve of anger to a complex system fuck, which he cannot clearly enunciate, or solve on his own. Fun? Does anyone have any real solutions?

2. Molyneaux provides an example of 'Evil', which is correct philosophically 'an trained person firing a gun' which inherently harms a person. I consider a Gun a philosophical Evil. But you don't just outlaw them, as other issues are at stake. Society has made a judgement that using guns for 'protection' is ethical. Cops are there to prevent lethal harm to others. Police are also allowed to defend themselves if their lives are at stake, or who would want the job? I don't see the cop shootings as inherently evil, but a very human act of 'losing your cool' after 500 traffic stops with insolence aboard. Are you going to crucify them for being 'only human' in an untenable society, or change society via legal reform, police reform?

Molyneaux's blaming the left does not address inadequate living standards, or overflow anger of a group that is used as a scapegoat for society's scarcity of jobs, proper living standards. Mostly these left-outs are due to the right's bank and corporate setups and the laws they made for themselves.

Taking money/livelihood away from a bank or corporation is not theft, as the bank or corporation isn't alive. I would let the bankers and corporate leaders keep their millions (not thieving from them in turn), but put limits on their assets (# houses,# cars, divestment of indirect financial instruments of other firms, not involved with the one they worked with).

3. I prefer to look at the issue of evil as a cost-benefit proposition. If you can convince a person that it is in his better interest to go along with a proposition, then that is within an ethical framework.

4. Ethics violations are inherent in our society, because of the way society is set up, winners and losers. But communism ignores human nature and individual achievement (discipline, sweat,skills, talent). Awarding the same amount of property, possessions, because a person exists, not because they worked for it, infects society and individuals willingness to participate. If society is done right, I believer everyone will be achievers. Differences in standards of living will mostly disappear, or a person can live with wealth sometimes, and choose not to, at others.

5. (next video) Lack of reading and writing skills should not prevent one from getting a good job with excellent pay (manual labor, phone work). Lets get away from school, and back to training.

We need to think big, not immerse ourselves in situational dilemmas within a poorly designed system.
