Putin Channels Bush – “Read My Lips, No” Russian Meddling
CNN probably won’t want to follow the lead of RT and report on the latest statement by Russian President Putin regarding the claims made by the fake news propaganda establishment regarding his nation and the 2016 election.
In a question and answer session at the Arctic Forum, President Putin was asked by a reporter, “I just want to be very clear about this, you and the Russian government didn’t, never tried to influence the outcome of the US Presidential election and there will be no evidence found.”
Putin took off his headset, stared into the face of the questioning reporter and responded, in his native Russian as he pointed to his mouth, “Read my lips – NO.” Putin adopted a very animated expression to accentuate his comments. If only the Democrats would stop sabotaging our interactions to make political hay, or to save their access to crooked, underhanded deals, we might be able to normalize relations between our two countries.
Other questions on US – Russia relations included an admission by Putin that relations between the US and Russia have hit rock bottom with the reporter stating that Putin indicated that the US remains, for Russia, a great nation that Moscow really wants to be genuine friends and partners with. He notes that Putin voiced his own recognition that there are some within the US who are trying to win political gains through playing what he termed “the anti-Russian card.”
He also pointed out the difference between the treatment being received by the Russian and US ambassadors. Putin personally welcomed the US Ambassador to Russia, who was able to mix and interact with many top Russian officials and businessmen. He notes the different treatment of the Russian ambassador, Kislyak, who is a diplomatic pariah, every meeting of his with a US official being treated as if it is some sort of “spy get together.”
The Russian leader described a willingness to share the “arctic pie,” with the access to previously hidden and inaccessible minerals being possible and navigation for short periods of time where it has not previously been in recent history.
