First of all I'd like to thank you for having the guts and good sense to welcome reader comments by taking emails. There is no such thing as AI because everything called AI is in fact an expert system. True intelligence comes from living beings. The so called AI is just a sophisticated set of instructions that are carried out as the program dictates they must. Intelligence is defined as "the ability to learn or understand or to deal with new or trying situations" All of today's so called AI is simply complex programming but not true intelligence. Even a dog is sentient but no machine can ever be sentient because it cannot have a soul.

Actually I agree. But there are those who would create systems that can pass the Turing test, and treat these systems as though they are AI, and give them great sway to influence our lives, to our detriment. Fortunately there are others in the tech world who see the danger in this.
