Families of missing passengers and crew of "Malaysia Airlines' flight MH370 have launched a campaign to collect at least 50 million dollars to fund a private search of the remains of the plane, three years after its disappearance.

Nearly three-year quest in the southern part of the Indian Ocean was suspended on January 17, because it was not found a trace of the plane, which went missing on March 8, 2014, a flight from Beijing to Kuala Lupmpur. On the plane were 239 passengers and crew members.

Akita Gomez, whose husband was a flight attendant, said that the families had no other choice but to take matters into their own hands. She said that 370 in next years should not go down in history as a mystery.

Minister of Transport Liou Tiong Lai said that the final report on the disappearance of the aircraft will be released this year.
