[If someone commits murder, and pleads insanity, while not being insane, that is a stretch of the use of the word insanity. If someone abuses a child and pleads mental disorder, that is a stretch of the use of the word disorder. I understand your statement about intent. One motive is to do harm, while the other is to stop harm. Given the context in which the word disorder is being used to get out of imprisonment, and into a psychologist's chair, one can see the motive behind that statement I made. Which is, if an abuser can use the word disorder as an excuse for abusing another, likewise someone can claim disorder, when using whatever is necessary to stop that abuse. If I had used quotes around the word "disorder" it might have been more clear. But, I am not perfect.]
