Army chiefs are planning to slash the number of frontline tanks by up to a third, leaving Britain with fewer tanks than Serbia.

This shows that Brexit was not a popular movement, but strategic move by city of london.
They want to stay away from NATO war VS Russia obligations next year so they do not need main battle tanks, they live on island which is separated from EU by channel. Best defense of all.
So their new military warships are not foreseen to go to warm seas where their power systems break down.
