SID - More than a hundred refugees today tried to break through a barricade of Serbian police at Croatian border near Sid, and after failing, tried a breakthrough over the fields.

A group of about 130 refugees from Afghanistan and Pakistan were at the border crossing at Sid since Sunday morning, and their intention was to break into the Croatian territory.

Today, at about 14 hours local they tryied to tear down the fence on the Serbian side of the border, and then they rushed across the fields to the Croatian side, where they were awaited by a dozen Croatian police cars (each can host about 12 hostile persons).

Croatian police has blocked the road to migrants, who gave up from further attempts to break through and returned to the Serbian side of the crossing at Sid (local name writes as Shid). Then the part of migrants tried to go back to Croatia, but in the end they gave up. (they could see that that Croatian border police at site has some not so friendly armaments).

Around 15.30 pm migrants walked back towards the railway station in Sid (Serbia), where they will board the train that will take them back to Belgrade.
