Wikipedia has announced the passing of Leon Russell, on November 13, in his sleep. He was 74.

Turns out Leon had a heart attack in July. I didn't know that, but perhaps it's why I began posting so many tunes by him in early August - just as our oliverhaddo posted Leonard Cohen items recently, just prior to Cohen's passing from this world. It seems coming events "cast their shadows before them"; or perhaps it's "a tremor in The Force" that one picks up on in some way.

From his 1975 sixth studio album, "Will O' the Wisp", here's Leon Russell with "Blue Bird". Helen Reddy had a hit with this, also in 1975.
