Robert Vaughn Interview Clip 1966 - VIDEO - Mr. Vaughn's Record of Opposition is in this short interview clip
: A Great American, Noted Actor Robert Vaughn Passes at 83 - Man
: From 'UNCLE' Leaves The Room, Folks
: November 11, 2016
: The excellent noted actor, Robert Vaughn, has reportedly died
: of leukemia a few days short of his 84th birthday. Perhaps
: best known for his role as Napoleon Solo on the very
: successful tv spy series, 'The Man From U.N.C.L.E.', Mr.
: Vaughn was also a very versatile actor, activist and
: author, successful in other roles and endeavors.
: Condolences to Linda Staab and the rest of Mr. Vaughn's
: family, friends and many fans.
: Mr. Vaughn was the first noted American actor to publicly
: oppose The Vietnam War and he was involved in the peace
: movement of The Vietnam War era. When you see someone risk
: their entire career to publicly stand up against what
: Eisenhower termed 'The Military Industrial Complex' you are
: witnessing the act(s) and efforts of very valiant
: character. How easy it would have been to have sat back and
: stayed quiet on such matters, but, Mr. Vaughn did what he
: knew was right and spoke out against wrongful government
: THE WAY EVERY SINGLE AMERICAN SHOULD. Since more Americans
: did not object to the phony U.S. foreign wars there have
: been a glut of them since The Vietnam War, and, there have
: also been large false flag attacks within the U.S..
: Mr. Vaughn appeared on stage and in dozens of television and
: film productions, accomplishing a large body of dramatic
: production achievements. Also his books are;
: 'Only Victims: A Study of Show Business Blacklisting'. New
: York: Putnam. 1972., and,
: 'A Fortunate Life'. St. Martin's Griffin. 2009. p. 352.
: This Infoeditor had done a post years ago on what a wonderful
: set of role models that were available in the sixties. Such
: television personalities who stood for right against wrong
: were Robert Vaughn, David McCallum, of 'The Man From
: U.N.C.L.E.', and Mike Connors of 'Mannix' fame. The post
: noted how welcome these shows were in a home ravaged by
: alcoholism, alcoholic parents, and, what a bright spot in
: the week when these shows appeared. If that post can be
: found it might be re-posted at this forum.
: Surely this great American, Robert Vaughn, will be missed by
: many. The U.S. and the world are better for his
: contributions.
