Russia demonstrates the power of landing troops in the exercise, which will last until 15 November.

In Serbia, tomorrow starts military exercise "Slavic brotherhood 2016" which will be attended by Serbian, Russian and Belarusian troops, and that could cause a negative reaction of the West, published by the Russian news agency Sputnik citing the Russian Defense Ministry.

The exercise is being held close to Belgrade and will last until 15 November. In addition to members of the Russian special forces (150 of them), three aircraft Ilyushin Il-76MD will transport to Serbia more than 50 soldiers, members of military-transport aircraft (pilots and maintenance crew).

To Serbia, will be delivered also three BMD-2 armored vehicles, an unmanned aircraft "tachyon" and four quad ATVs, reports Sputnik on its website in Serbian language.

The first military exercise "Slavic brotherhood" was held last year in the vicinity of Novorossiysk.

The Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Serbia had earlier announced that the exercise is a continuation of cooperation between the Air-landing troops of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and the Special Brigade of the Army of Serbia, started performing exercises "Srem 2014".

Sputnik marks quoted military analysts that the exercise will cause negative reaction of the West.

"The reason for this exercise is very simple - NATO approaching the Russian borders and 'Slavic brotherhood' is another way to demonstrate the power and strength of the Russian landing troops," said Anatoly Ciganok, a retired Russian colonel.

The first joint Russian-Serbian exercise in the history of "Srem 2014" was held two years ago at the training ground near Ruma Nikinci when trained counter-terrorist operation.

By 2012 there were almost no military cooperation between Serbia and Russia, and since 2012 has held several joint exercises.

Last year, 24 were held exercises with foreign partners, of which only two with the Russian army, and 22 with Western partners.

Since the beginning of 2016 was realized 116 military operations with NATO, and only with the United States 90, reports RTS.
