At dawn on October 13, the USS Nitze

would have launched a missile attack with Tomahawk missiles against the Shiite Houthi rebel positions destroying a radar station on the Yemeni coast near Ras Isa, not far from the port of Mokha.

The attack, authorized by the White House, would have been a response to the firing of anti ship missiles at the USS Mason on October 9. The Nitze and Mason are guided missile destroyers of the Arleigh Burke class and both are part of the fleet sent to reinforce the US units in the Red Sea.

The Pentagon, after confirming the attack, reiterated the US plan to respond with force to any hostile act by the Houthi rebels. The American intervention, solicited from the ally Saudi and Sunni pro Hadi, would be aimed at countering the dominance of militias loyal to President Saleh, who by now would have full control of the western coasts of Yemen.

USS MASON was targeted by 2 outdated Chinese land to sea missiles that lost control and dived to sea due the USS MASON's electronic countermeasures.

It was a false flag (US provided the target to uncapable enemy) so the US could enter the Yemen battlefield to help Sauidis.
