High radioactivity water leaked from a waste reservoir at the nuclear plant water storage at Fukushima, who five years ago was badly damaged by the earthquake and tsunami (gimmi a break), reported on Friday the Japanese media.

About 32 liters of hazardous content leaked through the crack in the tank at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant and mixed with rainwater in the soil. The problem was repaired by workers at the plant who moved the waste water from one tank to another, so that the level of content in the damaged tank went below the level where the reservoir got damaged.

Since March 2011, when the plant got heavily damaged, three of the six nuclear reactors are injected with the water needed for cooling, and that resulted with more than 1,000 tanks where radioactive water is storaged. But almost from the beginning of the process there is a problem with water leaking out of the tanks, which then ends in the Pacific Ocean.

Three years ago, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe assured the members of the International Olympic Committee that the situation in the injured nuke system is under control, which has helped Tokyo in obtaining 2020 Olympic Games.
