I did not see the video, I am only responding to the title.
Going back to the gold standard is like a deja-vu.
We were there once before and we had 2 world wars and numerous guerrilla wars with mega famine in various places of the world.
It is more likely that the same gang want to change the name of the game with another mask.
As long as the money still in the hands few and the rest have practically nothing, the world economic problems are not solved.
There is much more to say on this topic, this is only a start to prevent falling in the same hole again.
Usury and central banking are the biggest problem today.
Be aware of the banking octopus,it has many sucking tubes but all feed the same head.
Whether the octopus sucks gold or dollar, the end result is the same because the inhumane beast is fed.
Changing another saloon with other players is not necessarily changing the sucking game.

I agree, we must be careful not to jump from the 'frying pan into the fire'.
At this juncture in the inevitable decline of yet another fiat economic system, the masses are hungry for a fair and equitable system.
Fiat centralized banking will never sustain the wishes of the people.
Centralized banking, fiat debt-note creation, combined with the CRIME of usury (compounded debt interest ) is nothing but a stealth action of theft.
IE:
If you give me ZERO - and then demand SOMETHING in return for the ZERO you gave me - I am left with nothing to bargain with because the game is always one-sided.
You (who gave ZERO - 'thin air assigned debt') always GET - and I always GIVE...
The FIAT/USURY game is always a no-win situation for the debt assignee, and always a win-win for the Central Banks, who risk ZERO BUT DEMAND ALL.
The fiat system is designed so that eventually, everything ends up in the hands of, or under the control of - the Central Bank.
And everything literally means everything.
Central fiat bankers are no better than the common thief who breaks into your home or business and steals your property.
Central bankers are much worse than the common thief, because the magnitude of their theft encompasses the entire planet.
The hypocrisy of those who design, operate, and who benefit the most from a money-for-nothing fiat currency system - is simply off the charts.
(1) Central banks 'create' debt notes to issue as currency, either virtually or on paper.
(2) The debt notes created are labeled assets to the issuer (FED - Central Banks ), but are assigned the title of liability when the people use the debt notes as currency in exchange for goods and services - thus keeping the people pinned down under an automatically increasing - and compounding - mountain of debt that can never be repaid - because the debt value assigned never existed to begin with.
Remember - the Central Bank gave ZERO - INCURRED ZERO RISK - but still demands EVERYTHING in return - for nothing...
A new gold backed, or basket value backed instrument of exchange is still vulnerable to criminal manipulation if Central Banks such as Rothschild, City of London, IMF, World Bank, or BIS are allowed anywhere near the process.
It's not wise to hand keys to the new candy store back to the same arsonist who burned down the previous store.
Getting rid of single currency mandates, and local currency banking has been successful in the areas it is allowed.
There is no question that usury is a criminal act of stealth theft.
