“Just you wait until you’re dead, then you’ll be in deep shit,” said god.

“First you create me–give me life–without MY permission, and now you tell me that someday I’ll be dead. God how I wish you’d make up your mind.”

“Ok fine...I’m not God,” said god, “and I too was created without a thought to whether I wanted to be created. After-all, who asks a thing imagined if it wants to become reality (I’m thinking of building a chair: I see it clearly in my imagination: “Hey chair, is it ok if I build you?) so the point of asking permission is mute, is stupid, which is why I said your question is dumb.”

“Obviously the question is mute, but the implications of the concept are anything but mute. The BUILDER is responsible for the actions of its creations. Now THAT’S worth thinking about, especially when a builder comes right out and says, ‘I do all things for my pleasure.” So we have a creator who creates for his pleasure and, obviously, must take responsibility for the actions of his creations. Makes sense to me. By the way, what’s your name, since you’re not God?”

“They call me George,” said George. “And I know how God can get out of being responsible for what humans do. Give humans free-will and then He can blame everything on them and go to Tahiti and live on the beach.”

“What about nurture and nature?” I asked. Who created the nature and orchestrated the nurture? God! He can’t get out of taking responsibility THAT easy.”

“Who are you to tell God what He can and cannot do?” asked George.

“Why don’t we ask him that, ask him who we really are, because here he is, big as life (and maybe he'll tell us WHO HE REALLY IS?”
