The British alphabet agencies have no trouble "influencing" the voting results,even with paper ballots.. Rather strange that Scotland and Northern Ireland voted to remain and even London,( less than 50% Anglo Saxon) and Gibraltar ( votes have to be transported to the UK) voted to remain Scotland (once fiercely independent) would choose another Taskmaster.???
Was it not Stalin who said "who casts the vote is not important --who counts the vote is", and this was before the electronic voting.

I believe they seriously miscalculated the amount of fiddling they had done with the voting slips. That is why they were so surprised that the results were what they were.. Have read it might have been as high as 85 % and that half a million East Europeans were allowed to vote , and also 400 thousand "people" registered to vote the day prior to the Referendum. The LEAVE 'Leadership" were false , perhaps with the exception of Nigel Farage , although I have seen him give a Brotherhood handshake. . Look into the Northern Irish and Scottish "leadership" wanting to remain . Nothing is what it seems folks ,even in the good old USA

There's strong evidence to suggest that this referendum was heavily rigged, in spite of the fact that it was an all-paper vote. Here's an online poll which shows the Leave vote with 81%:

Even Google was predicting a landslide victory for the Leave supporters. Hobie posted this item on the day of the referendum.

What probably happened was that a huge victory for the Leave supporters was reduced to a four-point win, which was more acceptable, as it was too much of a stretch to attempt to turn a resounding victory into a defeat.

It doesn't follow at all, however, that this country will necessarily leave the EU as a result of the vote. David Cameron should have implemented Article 50 of the Lisbon Treaty, to initiate the process of separation, without delay. He did not do this, which opens up the possibility of all kinds of wheeling, dealing and arm-twisting until the next Conservative leader is chosen.

I agree that paper ballot votes can also be rigged. My point was that it is a lot more labor intensive, there need to be a lot more people involved, there's a lot more chance for the shenanigans to be witnessed, and it's a lot harder to be sure of how much rigging you need to do.

With electronic voting, the whole system can be pre-programmed to produce the desired result regardless of what choices the voters have actually entered. All the original data can be erased, back to the machines themselves, and there's no hard copy paper trail, only flickering computer bits.
