1) voting never changes the spots on the leopard of control by the elite. They have many screws to adjust to insure this. If Trump is to win the general, he has no choice but to tone down the rhetoric he used in the primaries.

2) sometimes there is no straight path to achieve a stated result. The repukes cannot win the general without the support of many of the Bernie voters. Look for Trump to pick up a few of the most obvious Bernie points and to at least pay extended lip service to them.
