Chinese have successfully tested the Dongfeng-41 intercontinental missile from a mobile launcher. The launch, which took place on 13 April, was monitored in real time by the American military satellite network. The missile that was tested was armed with two independent warheads that have hit their targets. No other details were given.

The DF-41 should be able to carry up to ten maneuverable warheads to independent multiple reentry from 250 kilotons to fourteen thousand kilometers away (as rumored). This should be a three-stage solid fuel missile of 80 tons. It could hit American territory inside thirty minutes after launch.

The development of the new Chinese ballistic missiles of third generation dates back to 2014, in a Pentagon report on new military capacity to Beijing. The DF-41 could enter service later this year.

The class "Dong Feng" or "East Wind" is formed by a series of medium- and long-range intercontinental ballistic carriers in service with the Strategic Missile Force Chinese.

The multi-head capacity MARV is considered in developing, but not yet operational.
