I would like to add some to the " No Thank You " post.
The addition is the majority of soldiers are citizens first . Whether they are ignorant of the U.S. Constitution or not they ALL swear an oath to support and defend that Constitution in it's entirety against ALL enemies foreign and domestic . The oath of service and the oath of enlistment is crowned by the Constitutional oath contained in the oaths and over rides all orders and directives at every level.
When orders, laws , statutes , and other authority violates the Constitution at ANY point, that authority is invalid and is in the domain of Domestic enemy and carries the penalties of treason . That soldier or for that matter ANYONE one elected or an appointed official is under that blanket .
Troop worship is a mindset not restricted to the military . It is also for all uniformed in most cases of law enforcement , emergency response, Fire fighting, etc.... The term is authority Worship . This is a true barometer of citizen ignorance in a Constitutional Republic when the founding and true ideology of being an American individual in liberty is abdicated to authority figures to steward over your personal responsibilities and an indicator of the life leaving this once great republic .

I have been a soldier from the Vietnam conflict until 17 years later .I exited early as I could no longer condone the unconstitutional actions in AND outside of the military .
They say the fish rots from the head first . I say this is one instance a remedy will have to come from the bottom up where the true " Boss " if you will truly is by design of our republic ?
If have served , thank you . If you haven't please get with someone who has to help you " Fit " somewhere before what is coming arrives ?
