Monsanto’s worst nightmare is about to come true.

Earlier this week, the Senate Agricultural Committee voted 14 to 6 to advance a dangerous bill, known as the DARK Act, that preempts states from passing common sense GMO labeling laws and is an absolute ‘wrecking ball’ to the Vermont law to label GMOs, which will go into effect July 1st of this year if we can stop Monsanto.

The great news is that Monsanto’s stock is TANKING and Wall Street seems no longer willing to prop this toxic chemical company up!

Despite Monsanto’s constant threats, farmers and activists across the country are continuing to fight back. And our work is starting to have a MAJOR IMPACT on Monsanto’s bottom line!

Wall Street just Kicked Monsanto to the Curb!

Two days ago, Reuters reported that Monsanto expects it’s sales to REMAIN FLAT for the rest of 2016 and possibly into the future. As a result, Monsanto’s share fell more than 7% and are now down almost 30% over that past 12 months as a result of STEEP decline in sales of Monsanto’s GMO seeds and toxic weedkiller Roundup, which has been linked to cancer by the World Health Organization.

And Just Today, Wall Street investment bank Goldman Sachs DOWNGRADED Monsanto to a SELL – encouraging investors to DUMP Monsanto across the board.

This terrible news for Monsanto comes on top of the fact that Monsanto SLASHED it’s workforce by 16%, cutting more than 3,600 employees since late 2015.

The Monsanto death spiral has begun! Let’s finish them off!

The ironic thing about the battle for GMO labeling is that the same corporations that oppose GMO labeling in America – already label their food products in 64 other countries around the world.

While public opinion polls show that more than 90% of Americans want mandatory labeling of GMOs, the Senate Ag Committee has moved a bill forward to take this basic right away from us!

Despite the fact that 3 Democrats, Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Heidi Heitkamp (D-ND) and Joe Donnelly (D-IN) voted to stand with Monsanto and their cronies in DC, until now, Big Food has been unable to find any Dems willing to support their corrupt agenda in DC by taking away our rights – all because of YOU (their constituents) and the pressure that they feel from YOU.

The problem is, Roberts' bill to kill GMO labeling could be voted on in a Senate floor vote as early as next week. But because of you, together, we are making a difference and can win, if we keep the pressure on.
