Are they deliberately misspelling his first and last names for legal reasons? Here is another article, specficaly about the pedophilia arrest, in which VT also misspells his name, except in sections quoted from an outside source, where it is spelled it correctly:

Aside from the above, there was a very strange controversy over Mr. Allan being banned from all LDS Church properties, for reasons which are unclear:

Oddly, one reason NOT mentioned for the banning is that Mr. Allan had been excommunicated from the LDS Church in 1993, along with many members of an allegedly "heretical" (to LDS) study group he had formed:

As to the video in which Mr. Allan is seen apparently admitting to pedophilia etc., it should be pointed out that at the beginning of the video is this disclaimer:

"The information presented here should be considered HYPOTHETICAL, to give you an idea of the nature of the problem we face as a society. Any relation to actual situations is coincidental."

And the description contains the following request:

"I'm asking that you not watch this episode until you've watched the previous ones as prerequisites for understanding/appreciating this one."
