Lion, I think you are missing the point.

Regardless of your opinion of Charlie Rangel, he has been consistent on this position over decades.

Because he knows if every family has to provide their children to be war fodder (and not the over-represented lower economic classes for money reasons) and, further, if each household had to share a tax burden in addition...there would BE no wars!

No Congressman could vote for a frivolous war and be able to face her/his constituents.

Rangel's stance is a strategy AGAINST just what you object to.

I did consider that angle, and point taken.

On the other hand, all members of the Corporate US Congress are so arrogantly dis-associated with what the people really want, that facing their 'constituents' after making any decision - good or bad - is no more worrisome to them than a cool breeze on their neck before they pull up their collar to block the breeze.

I have seen war after war after war after war in my lifetime.

In fact, I have seen nothing but war in my lifetime.

All unnecessary, and ALL for the profit of the US Congress, and ALL for the profit of the Military/Industrial/Banking complex.

War is what the Predator Corporation of the United States does best.

War is all the Predator Corporation does.

War on everyone, everywhere, at home or abroad.

Congress has voted for, allocated funding for, and Congress members have gotten richer with blood money for every one of them.

Congress likes war.

It means payday from the arms manufacturers, and more money from the Central Banks who fund Congress who fund the wars.

The game is known as circular financing war profiteering.

Congress does not care one iota about what so-called 'constituents' think, or how many Human Beings die in their dirty little wars.

I am not under the delusion that Congress is willing to even acknowledge the existence of any life outside of the beltway, except for the corporate lobbyists and suitcases full of payola, of course.

Nor am I under the delusion that ANY American outside the beltway can be lawfully held responsible in any, way, shape, matter, or form - for the choices made by a body of arrogant, self-serving, fools and prostitutes.

Washington DC, is a Corporation, a Foreign, Corporate State within the usa, and legally a separate entity from the usa.

The Corporate Congress of Washington DC, are legally board members of the Corporation, who legally do not represent the people of the states.

Every member of Corporate Congress knows this.

It is only the uninformed voting cattle who consider themselves 'constituents'.

Congress considers the people outside of DC to be nothing but canon fodder for war profiteering.

As Kissinger stated; "Military people are dumb animals to be used in foreign policy applications."
