You're right about God not favoring any particular person, creed, nation, etc. But, what is more difficult to grasp is that God also doesn't look with disfavor on any that do subscribe to the various religions and belief systems, either. God loves all unconditionally and has eternal patience for His/Her/It's creations to finally figure things out and return to His/Her/It's loving arms. It is only mankind's limited 3D perception that has so much difficulty understanding this. If you were to again look at the Parable of the Prodigal Son and realize that the father in that story is actually God and the two sons represent those that agreed to enter into seeming separateness in physical life (inappropriately called the Fallen Angels)and the other son represented those that did not volunteer for this experiment but chose to stay with Source, you might have a different understanding of all of this. God's creations were given free will and no one was forced to do anything. The bold ones, called the Fallen Angels, are all of us that volunteered for God's new adventure in consciousness. What would it be like to have free will but because of the Veil of Forgetfulness not have a clear memory of your connection to Source? Could you still find your way back? How long would it take and what type of great adventures might you experience as you do this? To make this a a difficult but real learning adventure there would have to be many obstacles to overcome and many false paths that could lead one astray. This would also require other volunteers to play the role of the "bad guys" or the "Dark Force". From the physical 3D perspective they definitely seem this way but from God's perspective they are equally loved for volunteering to play these roles for a time to make the game that much more meaningful. They also can learn much from the roles they play but in the end God knows that no one is really harmed and everyone will return back home. And, when they do God will rejoice as they return bearing the gifts of all of the wisdom and knowledge they have acquired through the "school of hard knocks"-through actual experience in the physical world. And, as in the Parable of the Prodigal Son, God throws a party for the son who after getting entrapped in all of the pleasures and "evils" of the world finally surrenders and decides to give it all up and return to the Father. Its all a great play but one with meaning and purpose and no doubt since this one is coming to a conclusion, the Creator has already decided on a new game to be played. When you are God its easy to become bored and your very nature is to always seek to expand and become more of what you are. Or, maybe to say it another way, to seek new ways to discover what you already are.
