The only problem with this movie was that after it we felt like we had done something that changed things, by viewing it. The difference issue that was spoke of in the movie seemed to center around the homosexual issue. In other words, there was a push to have this accepted in the movie. I did notice one couple of the same sex that were different ethnicity/colors.

They showed these folks in a testing facility after they were picked up for this difference. In real life, it is this difference that has been brought forward by their chemical/biological testing upon the population. It makes it hard to have babies with this kind of attraction unless a scientist is involved and even then it can be difficult with the chemical alterations that have occurred within mankind/womankind.

The rest of the movie screamed at what was going on in real time,in fact, it was easy to put some characters of note in the world in places within the film.

They showed the masks being passed out and then a cop getting stupid and killing a young girl who became a martyr for the ensuing upheaval. This to is happening to some degree, less the masks. The gentleman that wrote this movie were responsible for the matrix films.
