Amazon's Shipping Problems Indicate Something Happened to the Help, etc.

It isn't even near Christmas yet and already Amazon dot com is experiencing delays in shipping out orders. I know because my order basically sat for five days until I cancelled it! But wait, I could not cancel the whole order!

So I told em ship it or cancel it all, but they would not oblige on that. They finally said they'd upgrade the shipping and not charge me for it, but that change set the order back another week!

Then I noticed they did add the shipping charge which required me to contact them again. Again I tried to cancel the order, but they only cancelled some of the items. Again I told them I didn't want just part of the order ( ordinary household items), so they made another of those changes and refunded the shipping like they were supposed to before taking up more of my time.

After asking several times when the order would ship and getting the same vague answer, "Your items are in the shipping process", I told them among other things they'd taken up a lot of my time.

This Amazon company used to give great service, but has slowed considerably these days. I used to get stuff within a couple days sometimes, but what was once fast, friendly, courteous service has changed into slow, maybe you'll get it someday, friendly, courteous service. Wonder what happened to the help at Amazon?
