On the border between Slovenia and Austria, governs chaos, the police surrendered and 5,000 refugees on foot are heading towards Graz, describes the situation in Šentilj Zagreb's "Jutarnji List" (Morning Leaf) paper, whose reporter the owner of one gas station replaced with refugee and assaulted with a rifle which, fortunately, did not fire.

Repotedly, police have said to refugees that there are no more trains and buses, and that they should walk 50 kilometers to outside of Graz (Austria), so a little after noon from the Slovenian-Austrian border a column of people headed for the interior of Austria.

Until now, the police tried to establish some order, control and mark those who have crossed the border, but all their efforts fell into the water - and they eventually gave up, comments Zagreb daily.

Thousands of people who have crossed the border unchecked, merged with the refugees who were in the makeshift Austrian camp, and only in a few minutes formed a long line of about 5,000 people, who went in to the interior.

Currently, this column is on a fast road, but it is not excluded that this river of people will soon emerge on the highway, says Croatian daily.

Austrian police, the paper says, is completely powerless, all they do is to ask people to return back to the border and wait for the buses that will take them to their destinations, but hardly anyone listens to them, only small groups are returning ...

The situation is chaotic, but fortunately there were no incidents up to now, concludes the report from Šentilj by "Morning" and recalls that on that border passage police cordon was yesterday afternoon breached by the refugees who went to Austria.

After that Slovenian army and police did no longer try to re-establish a cordon and refugees felt free to walk thru the corridor to the border, where Austrian police waited them with a fence.
