Washington has refused to accept a high Russian delegation led by Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev, said today Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

"We have proposed to the Americans to send a delegation of military experts in Moscow in order to discuss joint steps in the fight against terrorism in Syria. Thereafter, our side sent a high-level delegation to Washington led by the Prime Minister Medvedev," Lavrov said in an address to the Russian parliament.

"Today we were told that they could not send a delegation to Moscow. At the same time, they told us that they can not receive our delegation in Washington," added Lavrov.

He said that Moscow urged partners to join the anti-terozam center in Baghdad.

"We invited them to join, to see that smoi all on the same side, to avoid any confusion. Their response was - why Iraq when there is not safe ?! We explained to them that according to our estimates Center can work in good conditions, but if you want we can and elsewhere to coordinate our actions, "Lavrov said.
